GE WES1130DMBB Black Microwave Review

Anyone looking for a smaller countertop microwave with the power of the more expensive and larger models should take a look at this GE Microwave! With 1.1 cu ft. of cooking capacity, it will take up virtually no counter space, but the 1,100 watts of raging power will make sure that your food is heated to the perfect temperature every time you close the door.

The touchpad control panel allows for ease of use with the push of a few buttons and the 12 inch turntable ensures that your food is cooked evenly every time. This is a great microwave for anyone that is living in a small apartment and doesn’t have the money to hand over for a larger microwave.

The reviews for this microwave are a bit divided. Some people absolutely love the size and power of it while others have had issues with it not working after a week or so. There are some issues with the timer going off before the cooking cycle is done and some have stopped heating altogether.

my 15 year old GE microwave stopped working I did not hesitate to buy a new one. It’s amazing how much noisier the new one is compared to the old one. It’s humming and buzzing sound is driving me nuts! When it goes off it beeps loud enough to wake up other sleeping on another level of the house! Its ability to heat and reheat food is excellent and the look compliments the rest of my appliances. Overall, I am not happy I cannot recommend this particular model due to the noise level but I do trust GE products.

This new GE model microwave, is replacing our 13 year old large Sharp model. The company that I work for certainly traded up as the GE’s performance so far outweighs the Sharp. The GE does not seem to be as well made though as cooking surface makes a noise as it turns but as far as warming up breakfast, lunch and liquids it works just fine. Setting the timer takes 2 steps.

First you press time cook and a numeral. There are no seconds to set. I do find that a bit annoying. Decent enough performance for the money spent.
