The basic, JEM25 is an 800 watt powered microwave that I really like. I am not a big microwave user; only use it to reheat food or liquids. The other model that they make the Pem31 has more options that I don’t need. Both are sleek in design.

The best thing about this microwave has got to be the price. I spent well over $300 for my old microwave and this one saved me quite a bit of money. We had a built in microwave that was specifically designed for our kitchen and when it went out after 6 years, we found it was rather difficult to find another one that would fit. That was until we found this GE Spacemaker II Series microwave. This has got to be one of the best microwave ovens that we have ever purchased. Not only does it fit perfectly in the space that we have, but it was also much cheaper than a couple other microwaves we were thinking about purchasing for our kitchen.
If you are looking for a smaller microwave that fits your kitchen space and your budget, then this might just be the one for you. I highly recommend purchasing this microwave and wouldn’t give ours up for any other microwave out there; even those big expensive ones. Our old GE Spacemaker was a good one as it lasted us for nearly 20 years. Then it started to show signs of going out on us and we had to start looking around for one to take its place. What we thought was going to be a long drawn out process only took about 30 minutes. We were lucky enough to find the exact same model as our old one in just that amount of time!
Our new GE Spacemaker microwave comes with a turntable that the older model didn’t have. So that’s nice. It also looks like it was built into the kitchen and it fits perfectly where the old one was. That was also a nice little bonus for us because we didn’t have to re-arrange our kitchen to make it fit in somewhere. The only real difference we noticed is that the power isn’t as high as a lot of the newer microwaves but it works just fine for us.

When I remodeled my kitchen several years ago, I bought a microwave that was considered to be a space saver at the time. Recently, that microwave died and I had to replace it. I needed a microwave that would go where the other one had been. As it turns out, the GE Spacemaker microwave was the only one I could find that would work in the same space. I chose the JEM25 model because I don’t really need a lot of bells and whistles.
This one does come with several features that my other one didn’t have like a turntable, which is nice. It’s only 800 watts but I just use it to reheat and warm things so that works great for me. Besides, my old one wasn’t even that powerful. This one has one-touch buttons and an add 30 seconds button. You can turn off the turntable if you have larger dishes to heat. You can choose between a black or white model, and I got the black. So far, I couldn’t be happier with this microwave.
